things to do in the fall and for halloween
Enjoy the Fall season and Halloween in Kenosha! Fall festivals and Oktoberfest events begin in early September in the Kenosha Area. That’s followed by Halloween event season. During the fall harvest, you can expect to find lots of fresh produce and fall-themed decorations from vendors at our Saturday Farmers Markets: Kenosha HarborMarket and Kenosha Public Market. We have recommendations for leaf peeping spots as well!

Haunted House
It’s been a tradition for years: the Kemper Haunted House. Historic Kemper Center on the Lake Michigan shore is the perfect, spooky setting for a haunted house.
Kemper Center and Kenosha County Teen Task Force present the Haunted House. Tickets are sold at the door. This takes place across multiple weekends.
The lights are left on for the kids/those feeling less brave during the first hour each night.
Ghost Tours
Experience a private or public Historical Kenosha Ghost Tour!
Gather your friends, relatives, neighbors, or co-workers for a fun and information-filled tour. Learn what ghosts and spirits may reside in Downtown Kenosha!
These tours are offered by Lakeshore Pedal Tours each October.
Create Your Own Halloween Art
Create a piece of art at Alpaca Art, a pottery-painting studio. Choose from the wide selection of bisque - plates, bowls, banks, boxes, figurines. Then sit, relax, and paint! As Halloween approaches, the shop offers many items with themes such as pumpkins, Dracula, gourds, spiders, witches, and Frankenstein. Make your own unique candy dish!
Pinot's Palette (shown) is a paint studio that offers guided painting classes. Their event calendar includes Halloween-theme paintings as we get closer to Halloween.
