Back to Top of List1. Watching a beautiful sunrise over Lake Michigan needs to be at the top of your itinerary while visiting Kenosha! FREE

2. Ride an authentic Electric Streetcar along the lakefront and to museums, shops, restaurants, events, and more in Downtown Kenosha. $1 & under for one loop

3. Lounge on a beach. Kenosha has four beaches on the Lake Michigan shore! FREE
4. Watch for fun events all summer long at the Kenosha Beach House on Simmons Island. The calendar includes Beachstock on June 13, Simmons Island Luau on June 27, and LakeFest on August 22. FREE

5. Also at the Kenosha Beach House on Simmons Island, Friday Night Beach Bonfires happen every Friday night from Memorial Day weekend into early October. There’s a rotating schedule of entertainment. FREE
6. At Simmons Island Beach, stroll along the boardwalk at Lake Michigan. This beach also features portable mobility mats on the sand during the summer days. FREE
7. Climb 72 steps to the top of the 1866 Southport Lighthouse tower for an amazing view of Lake Michigan. Open May through October (must be at least 8 years old). $10 & under

8. Hunt for sea glass / beach glass along Lake Michigan. FREE
9. Take advantage of the fantastic view of Lake Michigan by walking or biking on the lakefront path at Kemper Center. FREE
10. Kids can cool off on a hot summer day at the splash pad near HarborPark. FREE
11. Take a pic of one of Kenosha’s most recognized landmarks: the North Pier Lighthouse. FREE
12. Ride the historic Lakefront Trolley through Downtown Kenosha and along Lake Michigan. This rubber-wheel trolley operates seasonally. $1 & under
13. Take a stroll on the lakeside promenade in HarborPark; watch the boats sailing in and out of the harbor. FREE

15. Bring your pooch to play at one of our many off-leash dog parks. Up to $6 daily fee depending on park
16. Chiwaukee Prairie State Natural Area is a 482-acre remnant lake plain wet prairie, an ecological gem. Enjoy nature study, birding, photography, and hiking here. FREE
17. Play disc golf at Fox River Park, Lincoln Park, Silver Lake Park, or the UW-Parkside campus. FREE

18. Go Fish! Fish anywhere in Wisconsin without a license on FREE Fishing Weekend, June 6-7.
19. June 6-7, it costs nothing to explore Richard Bong State Recreation Area. All state park admission fees, fishing licenses, and trail passes are waived. FREE
20. At Hawthorn Hollow Nature Sanctuary and Arboretum, there are nearly five miles of trails with upland and floodplain forests, prairies, wetlands, flower gardens, historic buildings, a wildlife blind, a scenic boardwalk, a forest canopy overlook, and Hawthorn Hollow’s Heritage Farmstead to explore. 21. Go “over the river and through the woods” at Petrifying Springs Park – a hiking and biking destination. FREE
22. Enjoy Yoga in the Park at Petrifying Springs Park on Mondays, June 8 through August 10. FREE
23. There are more than 150 miles of dedicated bike lanes and signed routes in Kenosha County, including the Kenosha County Bike Trail, the Pike Bike Trail, and mountain bike trails at Silver Lake Park. FREE
24. Play at Kenosha’s inclusive, 100% accessible playground: the Dream Playground at Petzke Park. FREE
25. Have a kayak? Along the Fox River Water Trail, there are four non-motorized watercraft launch sites maintained by the Kenosha County Parks Division. This is part of the Fabulous Fox Water Trail. FREE

26. Pringle Nature Center offers many tools to explore Bristol Woods Park including GPS units that are pre-programmed with the known geocaches and ecocaches located in the park. $6 per unit for general public
27. Play pickleball at Fox River Park, Lincoln Park, Pennoyer Park, or Roosevelt Park. FREE

29. Tuesdays At The Shell happens at the Sesquicentennial Bandshell in Pennoyer Park along Lake Michigan, July 7 through September 1. FREE
30. Bristol Woods Park is the setting for Bristol Woodstock. The concert series happens on Wednesday evenings from June 10 through August 12. FREE

31. It’s a tradition! Spend your Wednesday evening with the Kenosha Pops Concert Band at the Sesquicentennial Bandshell, June 17 through August 5. FREE

32. Lincoln Park Live happens at picturesque Lincoln Park on select Wednesdays: July 8, July 22, August 5, and August 19. FREE

33. Enjoy the Rhythm on the Lake Concert Series on Thursday evenings at Old Settlers Park, June 11 through August 13. FREE

34. Enjoy a serving of PB&J! Peanut Butter & Jam is a concert series on Thursdays, July 9 through August 27, at Veterans Memorial Park. FREE

Back to Top of List35. Kenosha HarborMarket® begins its outdoor season on May 2 at 2nd Avenue and 56th Street. Open year-round on Saturdays; its indoor season concludes April 25 at the Woman’s Club of Kenosha. FREE admission

36. Open year-round on Saturdays at Kemper Center, the outdoor season of Kenosha Public Market begins May 2. FREE admission
37. Search for treasures at Wilmot Flea Market. It takes place on Sundays, April 19 through October 11 (excluding August 2, 16, 23) at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds. Admission $2 & under

38. Meet the makers at the Kenosha Art Market in the Union Park Arts District on the third Sunday of the month, June through October. FREE admission

39. On select days of the week, Farmers Markets occur at various City of Kenosha parks. They are open based on produce availability. FREE admission

41. Bring your classic car to Cruise-in Nights at Bristol 45 Diner on the first, third, fifth Mondays of the month, May through September. FREE
42. On May 16, the Twin Lakes Area Chamber & Business Association produces Business In The Park and Car Show. FREE for spectators
43. On August 22, attend a car show at Kemper Center. FREE for spectators
44. Show off your car and see what Downtown Kenosha has to offer during the Kenosha Classic Cruise-In on September 5. FREE
45. September 6 is the Southern Wisconsin All Airborne Chapter Car Show at Petrifying Springs Park. This event benefits wounded veterans. FREE for spectators

47. Tour a maritime museum! At the seasonal Southport Light Station Museum, learn about 40+ shipwrecks buried near Kenosha and see a model of the SS Wisconsin, which sank in Lake Michigan in 1929. FREE to tour museum

48. Starting June 20, visit the exhibit: Riding for the Union: The 8th Illinois Cavalry at the Civil War Museum. FREE special exhibit
49. Visit the Pritzker Military Museum & Library and go behind the stories that created history. $5 & under

50. Enjoy the Wagons Away Exhibit at the Kenosha History Center through October. See four Kenosha-made station wagons, across three eras of AMC history. FREE
51. Kids love Little Clint: The Story of a Baby Dinosaur; it’s an interactive exhibit at the Dinosaur Discovery Museum. FREE
52. On select weekends, the 1860s Durkee Mansion on the historic Kemper Center grounds is open to tour. FREE

53. Walk, bike, or drive through Kenosha’s four historic districts. Explore and appreciate the architecture and history of the buildings. FREE
54. Book your spot on a Kenosha History Center historic walking tour. The Third Avenue Historic District Walking Tour happens May 2, June 20, August 1, and September 19. $10
55. The Library Park Historic District Walking Tour takes place May 16, July 11, August 15, and October 3. Book your spot with the Kenosha History Center. $10
56. The dates for the Old Northside Historic Walking Tour are June 6, July 18, September 5, and October 17. Let the Kenosha History Center know you’ll be there. $10
57. West of I-94, stop by the Kenosha County Veterans Memorial Park Honor Plaza, which serves as a tribute to veterans. FREE

58. In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, local artist Bill Reid presents 50 States of Mind: The Art of Bill Reid, a playful journey across the country that blends wordplay, travel, and sculpture. See the exhibit through August 2 at the Kenosha Public Museum. FREE
59. Visit Wisconsin’s oldest Harley-Davidson® dealership right here in Kenosha. At Uke’s Harley-Davidson, visit the on-site museum of Uke’s history. FREE

63. In celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week, May 3-9, Tourism Week Free Days will occur. Each day, a different attraction or business is providing FREE admission and/or products.
64. Enjoy an Aquanut Water Show. The award-winning water ski show team performs on Lake Mary, most Wednesdays and Saturdays, May 23 through September 5. FREE

65. Visit the Hansen Park Beer Garden in Bristol. This family friendly space offers food, beverages (including non-alcoholic), live music, and more. FREE admission
66. “Fill the Hill” on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Watch bicycle races at the Washington Park Velodrome. Built in 1927, it’s the nation’s oldest operating velodrome. FREE
67. Go fly a kite! You’ll see gigantic show kites in the sky at the Outta Sight Kite Flight, which is June 6-7 at Kennedy Park. FREE
68. Enjoy Movie Night in the Park at Petrifying Springs Park. This takes place on Fridays, June 19 through August 21. FREE
69. The 26th annual Harborfest 7s Rugby Tournament is June 20 at Kennedy Park next to Lake Michigan. FREE for spectators
70. In June, watch for the Juneteenth Celebration Kenosha Festival to take place. FREE admission
71. The Kenosha History Center presents its fourth annual Kenosha Taco Fest on June 26 at Kennedy Park. FREE admission
72. Don’t miss Kenosha’s patriotic celebrations. The Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade is June 28, while Celebrate America is July 2-4 with the fireworks on the Fourth of July.

73. Libertyfest happens in Twin Lakes. July 3 includes a festival and fireworks; July 4 is the parade.
74. On the third Tuesday of every month, seniors (60 & over) can enjoy the Kenosha YMCA at no cost (photo ID required). FREE

76. Bristol Progress Days is a fun community festival July 10-12 at Hansen Park. FREE admission
77. Kenosha Pride 2026 happens July 11. This is the 14th annual LGBTQ+ Pride event in Kenosha. FREE

80. PROST! Das Fest Wisconsin, a German-American celebration, takes place July 31-August 2 at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds. $5 & under admission
81. The Picnic in the Park event will be held on August 15 at Petrifying Springs Park. This event includes live music, family activities, and concessions. FREE admission
82. “Fun For The Whole Herd” is the theme of this year’s Kenosha County Fair, August 19-23. Every day is Senior Day! Seniors (65+) get in for $8.

85. Check out the sculpture at Southport Marina that commemorates the second stop on the Winter Dance Party Tour (Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper, and Dion and the Belmonts). FREE
86. For a taste of New York City … view a Miniature Statue of Liberty inside the Kenosha History Center. It was donated by local Boy Scouts. FREE
87. For a taste of Paris … visit Kenosha’s very own Wallace Fountain! The public, drinking water sources are primarily found in Paris, France; it’s a non-functioning art piece here. FREE

88. Visit the oldest continuously operating lunch car diner in the U.S. is in Kenosha – Franks' Diner. It’s been here for 100 years. Prices vary
89. While at historic lakefront Kemper Center, enjoy the outdoor mosaic on the side of the Kady B. Faulkner building. The mosaic is made from items found on a nearby beach. FREE

90. Drive by the birthplace in the Library Park Historic District of actor, writer, director, and producer Orson Welles. FREE
91. At Wolfenbuttel Park, you’ll find a Peace Tree Labyrinth that’s a 6 circuit, 900 square foot permanent meditational labyrinth facing Lake Michigan. It was constructed by local Girl Scouts. FREE
92. Take a photo with the Kenosha Kraken mural by artist Leeanna Chipana. It can be found on the west wall of Modern Apothecary. FREE

93. Come see our castle! Enjoy one-of-a-kind photo spots at Mars Cheese Castle. FREE to visit; product prices vary

94. Visit the Proudly Made in Kenosha mural. Designed by Kevin Hannaman and painted by artist Dean Tawwater, it’s on the south wall of the former Kenosha Theater, 6th Avenue and 60th Street. FREE

101. The Kenosha Public Museum also hosts the 2026 Acrylics Biennial in partnership with the International Society of Acrylic Painters. The exhibit opens August 15. FREE
