Holidays are always a little chaotic, and that was before a pandemic and hiring crisis. Getting together with friends and family as best as we are able feels more important now than ever – whether that means dining out, gathering together at home, or dialing in for a Zoom call! Whatever your plans look like this year, there are some Kenosha Area restaurants and eateries that are prepared to help you make the most of this season of thanks. From full menus and buffets to prepared meals and carryout options, there is a way for you to make sure everyone in your circle has a bountiful table on Thanksgiving Day.
These are Kenosha restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving or offering preorders/carryout specials at this time. Some more places may add preorder specials as the date approaches.
Brat Stop: Open every day of the year; typically offer a turkey dinner special along with the regular menu.
Buzz Cafe: Open limited hours.
Capt. Mike’s Beer & Burger Bar: Pub (not kitchen) is open 7 a.m. to noon. Pub (not kitchen) re-opens at 7 p.m. for a show. Mac and cheese to-go kits will be available Monday through Wednesday that week.
Capt. Mike’s Beer & Burger Bar’s food truck The Galley will serve as a soup kitchen on Thanksgiving Day. The Galley Giving event will take place in Library Park in Downtown Kenosha. A FREE Thanksgiving dinner will be served to anyone who is need of a hot meal, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Century Pub & Eatery: The business in Downtown Kenosha will be open. Contact for details.
HobNob: Open 12 to 4 p.m. with a turkey dinner and also a take-out menu.
Kenosha Brewing Co.: Open for a special Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings. Reservations required. From 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (the last reservation spot is 3:30).
Mars Cheese Castle: Open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sazzy B: Offering the “Side Hustle”: Family style sides to take home ahead of Thanksgiving. You take care of the main course, they’ll back you up with the extras. They’re preparing the side dishes everyone loves, with some extra Sazzy flair so all you have to do is heat them up and serve. Check social media for details.
tg’s Restaurant & Pub: Offering a carry-out special “Thanksgiving Family Feast”. Feeds a family of 4. Order must placed by November 19, with pick up on Thanksgiving morning.
The Stella Hotel & Ballroom: Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet in ballroom from 2 to 7 p.m. Enjoy all of your traditional holiday favorites including Roasted Turkey, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Pumpkin Pie, and so much more! The Café will be open from 6:30 to 2 p.m.
Union Park Tavern: A not so traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. 3 to 9 p.m.: Butternut Squash Soup, Beef Rouladen, Red Cabbage, Dumpling, Bienenstich, One Glass of Select Wine for $28. Reservations only: (262) 652-6454. Live music by “Rhythm Dogs” that evening.
