This is a public Lake Michigan beach with a boardwalk - located near a paved bike trail. There's a playground and an open air picnic pavilion in the park. Also located on Simmons Island: Southport Light Station Museum (with the Southport Lighthouse) which is open seasonally, the Kenosha History Center, and the Kenosha Lighthouse Studio at North Pier Lighthouse.
