“Let The Good Times Grow” is the theme for this year’s Kenosha County Fair, which takes place August 13-17. My family has been going to this fair for years; it’s one of our favorite events of the summer. There is so much to see and do and eat! Here’s just a brief rundown of what you can expect to experience at the fair, depending on which day and time you go.
2025 Kenosha County Fair:
Wednesday, August 13 through Sunday, August 17
Located at 30820 111th Street (Highway W) in Wilmot

Be part of the AG Olympics (try your hand at bobbing for apples, wheelbarrow races, and more), Pedal Tractor Pull, Children’s Scavenger Hunt, Hay Bale Throwing Contest, Cookies and Crowns, or Children’s Parade. Enjoy the Pie Auction. Walk through the Antique Farm Machinery Exhibit.

See the crowning of The Fairest of the Fair on Saturday morning. On Sunday morning, a parade goes through the fairgrounds. Visit the Barrel Room and the nearby Marketplace.
Be impressed with the wood carving demonstration. Check out the incredible exhibits – clothing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, home furnishings, flowers, vegetables, plants, photography, arts and crafts – by local adults and youths. See the animals.
There’s a Family Fun Zone. Enjoy the pony rides, a petting zoo, the Discovery Barnyard, Nick’s Kid Show, the Milwaukee Flyers, Jurassic Kingdom LIVE!, and the Barnyard Adventure Show. There will be strolling entertainers.
From inside a new building – a permanent Creekside Stage – enjoy concerts by Magneen Band, Hindsight, Dry County Line, The Empty Bottle Boys & One Shot Jane, Bootjack Road, Aidan J Music, Abby Kay Music, The Been Reals, The Now, Doo Wop Jukebox, Class of 62, and more.

Grandstand (Wilmot Raceway) evening events include the best dirt track racing in the Midwest on Wednesday, along with the Strongest Fan Tire Toss. Thursday is the Antique Tractor Parade, Badger Truck & Tractor Pulls, and Combine Demolition Derby.
Friday is the NTPA Tractor Pulls and fireworks. Saturday is a second night of incredible dirt track racing. Sunday afternoon is a Power Wheels Demo, followed by the International Demolition Derby.
Of course, there’s the carnival midway! Did you know that on August 13, from 1 to 3 p.m., the carnival is Sensory Friendly? This is a free time for special needs kids and adults who would not otherwise be able to enjoy the carnival with all the music and lights, when it is open to the public. There will be no music or lights. Immediate family and caregivers are also welcome to attend. Reserve this opportunity with the fair office in advance.
And you can’t forget the food! Cotton candy, chocolate chip cookies, a grilled cheese sandwich, caramel apples, funnel cakes, corn on the cob … I could go on and on listing my favorites over the years.

The fairgrounds are located at 30820 111th Street (Highway W) in Wilmot. General parking is always free at the fair. General admission fees are adults (12 years of age and older) $12; children (ages 7-11) $6; children 6 and under free; senior citizen (Ages 65+) $8; military – active or retired (must show ID) $8. There are season ticket and membership options.
To attend the Friday and Saturday evening activities at the grandstand, a grandstand fee is required in addition to fair admission.
Enjoy your time at the fair!
