Ahhh, Fridays.  We ALL love Fridays already, but Fridays just got better.  That’s right, Fish Fry Fridays are back! Well, in Wisconsin they kind of never leave. The Friday Fish Fry is a year-round staple at many restaurants. So, when in the Kenosha area, where does one go to get their fins on a fantastic Fish Fry on a Friday?  Well look no further because here is a list of all things Fish Fry in Kenosha:

*Ashling on the Lough – Not just on Fridays, this Irish Pub has authentic Fish and Chips that is available on their regular menu! Get it any time you want.

Big Star Drive-In – While only open March – August, Big Star Drive-In offers a Friday Fish Fry that is quite popular. Their fish sandwich is always available, as well.

*Boat House Pub & Eatery – The Boat House actually offers a Fish Fry every day, so lucky you!  You can get the Captain’s Fish Fry with Perch and/or Walleye, lightly breaded and deep fried. This comes with coleslaw, your choice of baked potato, mac and cheese, potato pancakes or waffle fries.  Add a couple dollars more and get that baked potato LOADED – which I highly recommend!  This is a great spot to enjoy a Fish Fry because it is located right on the dock on Lake Michigan – couldn’t get more perfect than that!

Brat Stop – The English Dish Fish and Chips offers a choice of battered and fried Cod or Walleye, broiled Walleye or baked Cod served with a potato choice, coleslaw, and rye bread.

Bristol 45 Diner – The Fish Fry includes soup or salad, potato, vegetables, and coleslaw along with battered and fried Cod or Walleye, baked Cod or Lake Perch.  There is also an option for a Family 10 Piece Fish Fry To Go with coleslaw and French fries.

Captain Mike’s – Friday Fish Fry is a new offering for the crew at Captain Mike’s. It will be prepared in their Food Truck dubbed “The Galley”, stationed just outside the bar/restaurant. Expect to see it served in the traditional fish and chips style, wrapped in newsprint!

Century Pub & Eatery – Beer-battered or baked Walleye, Perch or Cod served with a choice of potato and coleslaw. Generous portions at reasonable prices are of note at this locally owned venue.

Johnny’Z Pour House – If you love pairing a GIGANTIC beer selection and a fun atmosphere with your Friday Fish Fry, then Johnny’Z is your house away from home!  On Fridays they have beer-battered North Atlantic Cod on the menu with spuds, house slaw and tartar sauce.  If you want to have your Fish Fry in taco form, they have that too!  Their second Friday option is Fish Tacos served with a side.  Happy Friday!

Kaiser’s Pizza of Kenosha – Watch for the traditional Fried Cod most Fridays, or occasionally a perch or bluegill special. Fridays can be for pizza or fish at this popular eatery!

Kenosha Brewing Company – All You Can Eat Atlantic Cod and/or Shrimp (butterfly, coconut, or scampi) made with spent-grain flour breading served with slaw your choice of one side.

*Mason’s Eatery & Pub – The Mason’s Real Fish-n-Chips boasts two North Atlantic Cod filets battered in a Leinenkugel beer batter. Served with waffle chips, and your choice of a cup of soup or a side salad. Nothing says Wisconsin like beer battered food, right?

The 1844 Table & Mash – For a truly upscale Fish Fry experience, you must try the 1844.  Located inside The Stella Hotel & Ballroom, you will find an excellent Fish Fry.  They offer Wild Caught North Atlantic Filets of Scrod (a tender Cod) prepared with their Spotted Cow beer batter recipe and served with your choice of potato or a side of fries, tartar sauce, lemon, and Asian coleslaw – honestly the most unique and delicious coleslaw I have ever had.  Oh so good!  This is a fantastic spot for Friday Fish Fry Date Night!

*The Spot Drive-In – Always available, the Perch Dinner is perfect for Friday Night Fish Fry – or perhaps you’d prefer to try their fried fish sandwich. You don’t even have to wait for Friday to enjoy it. Get it with a side of fries or sweet potato fries.
