With so many different festivals and events throughout the summer to attend in Kenosha, one  that I look forward to is Kenosha Taco Fest. The Kenosha History Center organizes this event. Kenosha Taco Fest is back for its 4th year, and I’ve been there since the beginning. The event is on Friday, June 26 from 3-9PM at Kennedy Park (4051 5th Ave). Tacos are one of my favorite foods, and this festival gets better and better each year!  This single-evening event offers an impressive variety of taco options and this year features an expanded lineup.

Attending

This event is FREE to attend (tacos and other menu items will be available to purchase from participating vendors). Competing food trucks will set their own menu and pricing. There is FREE parking at Kennedy Park (all cars enter through the Washington Road entrance). A+ Mobility will also be onsite and will have handicap scooters available to rent.

Vendors

Kenosha Taco Fest features local small business food trucks and food vendors. Attendees will be able to get food from previous Taco Fest Champions, including Aragon’s Platos Borrachos and Tacos La Flama as well as 19 other food vendors, plus four dedicated dessert vendors and a mocktail vendor! For a complete list of vendors, check out their Facebook Event Page Kenosha Taco Fest 2026.

Over the last couple of years I have tried several different taco trucks and they have all been fantastic. One thing I look forward to each year is trying birria from different food trucks!  I visit some trucks on a regular basis after discovering them at this event. You are sure to find a new favorite food truck here. Beer will also be served by the Kenosha History Center with profits going towards their non-profit mission.

Voting

Food trucks will be competing for votes to be named the “2026 Kenosha Taco Fest Champion.” Make sure to remember where you got your favorite dish from so that you can vote for them!  The winner will be announced later that evening.

Car Show

Kenosha Taco fest will coincide with the Kenosha History Center’s popular Classic Car Cruise- in Night on June 26 as well! While normally held outside the museum, the cruise-in will be held at Kennedy Park. There will be a special area for classic cars.

Music & Entertainment

Get ready to dance! Kenosha Taco Fest will feature local DJs including, DJ Rino, DJ Midas K & DeeJay Gizmo.

The Kenosha Public Library Bookmobile will also be on site this year near the children’s playground at Kennedy Park!

Kenosha Taco Fest

With attending Kenosha Taco Fest each year, something I have learned is get there early! Lines can get long especially around dinner time! So if you want to try multiple vendors, you will want to get there early to start dining! I always like to walk around and look at each truck’s menu to see what everyone has to offer. Each vendor brings different options and different flavors to Taco Fest so that there is something for everyone.

One of the best things about Kenosha Taco Fest is that it is a family friendly event. I always recommend this event to family and friends, and have even brought family members visiting from Arizona. So bring the entire family and enjoy a night of fantastic food vendors, classic cars, and music from local DJ’s! Once you attend, I am sure Kenosha Taco Fest will become a must visit each summer.
