Have you ever felt like you just needed a reset, a moment to reconnect with yourself, start a new hobby, get healthier, or just carve out some time that's actually yours? Maybe even try something a little challenging just to see if you can?Align Wellness Collective

That was me. Busy trying to find time to reconnect and slow down. Rather than waiting until a vacation or a spa retreat invitation, I looked a little closer to home. I kept hearing about Align Wellness Collective, tucked away behind Cut Stone and Blue House Books or a quiet street here in Kenosha. So, when the chance came up to check it out, “curious” was an understatement.

I’ll admit it, my out-of-shape self was a little nervous walking in for a yoga class. But after talking with Felicia, the owner of Align Wellness Collective, I felt at ease. This isn’t a place where you need to already have it together, but rather it’s come as you are, and leave encouraged.

You enter through a keycode door, which already makes it feel like your own little secret spot. Once inside, everyone is smiling, lively, and welcoming - and not just the staff. The other patrons too, like I’d been coming for months instead of walking in for the first time. Talk about making a visitor feel welcome!

While I waited for the class to start, I wandered the boutique, and I could have spent an hour there alone. Books, fun soaps, journals made from stone (yes, you read that right, stone journals), cute clothes, and local tea blends from Southport Tea. It’s the kind of shop where you go in for one thing and leave with an armful. Align Wellness Collective

In the same room, there was a station offering free coffee (in the cutest mugs, I wanted to take one home) and the best-tasting filtered water I’ve ever had! (Yeah, even the water tastes better here!) Water is available for free to fill up your own bottle, which I very much needed after class.

I chose the candlelight yoga class because it sounded relaxing. It delivered. Candles lit the room, the overhead lights were low, and the stretching was gentle but real work. It was hard, but uplifting, and every single person in that room helped me feel comfortable doing only what I was able to do, which sometimes was just resting. There were no judging eyes but rather “great job” and “glad you came” remarks at the end. That warmth radiated both from the staff and from my fellow yoga classmates.

At the end of the class, they handed out ice-cold towels wrapped in the best-smelling lavender I have ever experienced. So refreshing! Align Wellness Collective

Standouts Experiences

  • Connection: The warm smiles the second you walk in
  • The boutique: stone notebooks, books, fun soap, and clothing are worth the stop of their own
  • The little extras: the cleanest, tastiest water I’ve had anywhere, free coffee, and cute mugs
  • Supporting local: There are multiple other like-minded businesses housed right at Align, collabs with local businesses from Yoga at the Apis and selling Southport Tea on site; there’s a ton of local supporting local, and I am here for that
  • Community: a place that genuinely supports each other, staff and members alike

Align Wellness Collective is exactly the kind of local business that makes Kenosha worth exploring, whether you live here or you’re just visiting. It’s a reminder that you don’t have to drive to Milwaukee or Chicago for a proper wellness reset. Between the Yoga and Pilates classes, the contrast therapy room (infrared sauna and cold plunge), and a boutique full of local finds, it’s a full reset worth visiting.

This spa and wellness center has a full schedule of classes, including options for drop-in guests. While one-time attendance is a great option for out-of-town visitors looking to keep up their routines or try something new, there are also packages for multi-visit options or monthly memberships with unlimited access. So when you plan a visit to Kenosha, be sure to check out this fabulous addition as part of your fitness or relaxation activities!
