Lunching out in Kenosha during retirement can be a full-time job. So many places and so much time. It’s perfect. The Café at The Stella is a great spot if you’ve got some downtown business or shopping to do and need a respite and light lunch.
Nestled inside The Stella Hotel & Ballroom, the Café has breakfast and lunch items, a generous soup and salad bar, and impressive coffee and tea selections. Seating for small groups, individuals, or couples is comfortable and easy.

I met a friend there recently and we both enjoyed the soup and salad bar, a bargain at just $7 for unlimited service. The cream of asparagus soup was tasty, hot, and comforting on a cold, rainy spring day. The salad bar was generous in its offerings - two types of mixed greens, four dressing choices, everything from cukes and tomatoes to corn and black beans as toppings. There were easily a dozen different containers of fresh and healthy choices to make your own “big salad.” Pasta and potato salads were heartier sides offered, as well.
On other visits I’ve enjoyed the Breakfast Croissant and the Turkey Brie Panini. Both delicious, freshly prepared, and served quickly. Whatever your choice, you won’t leave hungry.
