Parks

Petrifying Springs ParkEstablished in 1927, the Kenosha County Parks system offers more than 1,500 acres of managed recreational land at eight parks. For general park inquiries or to reserve a pavilion (where available) at these eight Kenosha County parks, please call (262) 857-1869 or go HERE>

Meanwhile, the City of Kenosha has 70 park and conservation sites — making up approximately 1,000 acres of land. For general park inquiries, reservations for picnic areas, and park building rentals at City of Kenosha parks, please call (262) 653-4080 or go HERE>

Towns and villages throughout the county also have their own parks. Please contact each individual municipality regarding rentals at those parks. When you add it all up, along with a state recreation area — that’s a whole lot of land for visitors to play on!

Three Kenosha County communities are designated Arbor Day Foundation’s “Tree City USA” communities: City of Kenosha, Bristol, and Paddock Lake.

The City of Kenosha and Kenosha County are certified as a “Bird City” by Bird City Wisconsin.

We list here on our website a partial list of parks – primarily ones with amenities, programming, and/or events – located throughout Kenosha County.

We are often asked: Can you grill in City of Kenosha parks? The answer is yes. Grills must be 2 feet off the grass/ground. You must bring your own supplies and any charcoal must be disposed of in the properly labeled can - not trash cans. No grilling is allowed on city beaches.
