Have you ever gone shopping on an empty stomach, just to realize that you then have to go home and actually cook something? The absolute worst! Today, I’m here to share a few places in town where you can shop and then also eat a meal or grab a drink. That way, you can continue on with your errands without withering away. In this day in age where we all bite off more than we can chew, convenience is key!

Jack Andrea - Jack Andrea has been a Kenosha attraction for over a hundred years and more recently has updated their cafe and gift shop to be a bit more modern. The shop still has the same charm of years past with a temperature secured cigar room and plenty of knick knacks and trinkets. However, you can now find a curated selection of trendy clothing, bar staples, Kenosha gear and so much more. If you get hungry, head to the cafe to grab a coffee and breakfast or lunch. My go-to order is the Rainbow Bowl, minus feta, plus chicken, sub carrot ginger dressing with an almond milk cappuccino. You can thank me later! Really though, Jack’s cafe offers a wide variety of healthy food that is both delicious and convenient. They even have a cooler with packaged lunches to take to-go, it doesn’t get easier! My favorite lunch order is listed above, and I also bought my Spring jacket here. That speaks to the versatility. Check it out!

Tenuta’s Deli - Tenuta’s has people from all over the area stopping in for their groceries and liquor. The draw for many is the selection of Italian salads, meats and cheeses. It’s also a great place to pick up gifts like specialty oils, spices, beer or wine! My fiancé’s hits up Tenuta’s every time I leave town for the weekend to pick up a take-and-bake pizza and some craft beers (bachelor life). My personal favorite section of the store is the buy one get one free “red tag” wine selection! Also, in the summer time you can enjoy their outdoor patio that serves sausages, brats, hot dogs and beverages. This is the place you want to bring guests from out of town; it’s a Kenosha staple!

The Buzz - Located in Downtown Kenosha, this is a coffee shop, bar, liquor store, and cafe that is in my opinion the most useful place in town. Call me biased because I live out the back door and up 3 flights of stairs, but really, the Buzz can help you out in pretty much any situation! Need coffee? Got it. Realized you have no wine for your night in? There’s quite a selection. Have a friend who loves craft beers? They will likely have some for you to gift that they’ve never heard of. Hungry? The food is amazing! And changes seasonally. Besides their breakfast sandwiches, they also offer lunch sandwiches, wraps, salads and baked goods. They even sell local honey by the jar! You can catch my fiancé down here on Saturday and Sunday mornings picking us up lattes and don’t be surprised if you see me during the week once I realize my wine stash is running low. The workers are so helpful and knowledgeable, if you’re there for a gift ask around! They will definitely help you pick the perfect bottle or can.

There you go - no excuse for you to not one-stop-shop your errands this week! Shop around, grab lunch, get a drink, pick up a gift… save gas! These places are so handy to have at our fingertips and super unique in their own special ways. You have the Kenosha staple and always classic Tenuta’s, the historical shop with a trendy revamp, Jack Andrea, and the more recent addition to this group of establishments, The Buzz (which we’re all hoping stays around long enough to become a K-Town classic). These are three of my favorite places in town, I hope you enjoy them also!
