Festive Activities in Kenosha WI

If you have not yet gotten a chance to take the kids to see Santa or get into the holiday spirit, I’ve come up with a list of places that will have you feeling jolly before Christmas arrives! Bonus: many of these places to see St. Nick and spread holiday cheer are FREE.

This is the final weekend to enjoy the Lakeside Players production of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” – so don’t miss it. All your favorite Peanuts characters will be at the Rhode Center for the arts. Tickets are selling fast, so reserve yours now. Tickets are just $10.

Saturday is the Kenosha Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday Celebration! Enjoy a performance featuring all your holiday favorites at the Reuther Central High School Auditorium. You’ll be tapping your toes in no time. Saturday is also the Kenosha Pop Christmas concert at Carthage College. On Sunday, the Fine Arts at First series will host a sing-a-long featuring glittering lights, candles, and beautiful music. All these shows are a great way to enjoy the sounds of the season.

Visit Wilmot Mountain on December 21 to see Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Santa's elves! They will be on-hand skiing the slopes from 3pm - 5pm. Make sure to snap a picture with them on the hill or in the plaza by the fire! Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be having dinner at Walt's Tavern! Seating times will be 5:30pm and 7pm.  Reservations are preferred.  Enjoy complimentary cookies and take home a photo of you and Santa! Complimentary photos are available inside at Walt's from 5:30pm to 8pm. Festival Foods in Kenosha also has visits with Santa, check with the store for details.

You can enjoy Victorian era decorations at Durkee Mansion. The décor is part of the annual Christmas at Kemper celebration. Whether you visit now or after the holidays, you’ll be in awe of the details and ornate adornments around this historic home. Be sure to visit before January 13.

Bundle up and enjoy the FREE ice rink at Veterans’ Memorial Park through the winter. Skates are available to borrow for FREE on-site this year, making this a great family outing in Downtown Kenosha.

There are plenty of ways to enjoy Kenosha Fun this holiday!
