Is Santa feeling a little overwhelmed at your house this holiday? It’s easy to understand – work, parties, decorating, shopping, wrapping, baking, and for some, even an overnight guest or two to host. It can all get to be too much to handle! Never fear! We’ve got some great suggestions to help ease your holiday burdens if you are in the Kenosha Area! We’ll have you be the best Santa this side of Lake Michigan!

Let’s start with the most urgent items. If you’re hosting a party in the coming weeks and need a little help in the kitchen department, there are a few catering services that can lend a hand. Try lunch boxes from Culinary Infusion at Circa on Seventh for corporate events! These personal meals include things like sandwiches or a salad, fresh fruit, and even cookies. The Buzz Café offers party boxes, too. They have a great charcuterie and wine selection – perfect for cocktail parties. Twisted Cuisine also offers full catering services, as well as a banquet room – so the mess doesn’t even have to enter your house. An antipasto tray or cookie platter from Tenuta’s are always a hit, too. Customized cupcakes from Robin’s Nest Cakery, or a variety of mini pies from Elsie Mae’s are all sure to impress your guests - and you can even pretend that you made them, we won't tell!

Need to spruce things up a bit? A Summer’s Garden Florist has endless ideas for centerpieces, fresh floral arrangements, greens, and more. Jerry Smith’s Green Acres has a great selection of wreaths and Christmas Trees, too, in case you are a little behind in that department.

Last minute gift buying will be a breeze, too. We promise. Try a gift basket filled with Wisconsin cheese and sausage from Mars Cheese Castle. Sandy’s Popper offers build-your-own popcorn boxes and popcorn tins. The Lettering Machine has a great selection of grab-and-go Kenosha swag. Jack Andrea offers everything from home décor to cigars and everything in between – and they even have free gift wrapping services. Seebecks has a great selection of jewelry. Something Different has treasures featuring every sports team you could imagine, making it a one-stop shop for the sports fan on your list - without the wait of ordering online! And Lemon Street Gallery’s ArtisTREE giftable art show offers handmade items and locally created artwork – for anyone on your list that wants something extra special.

If your overnight guests are making you feel a little too much like The Grinch, you may want to check out our area hotels! For the guests, or maybe for YOU! It will be a gift to everyone to enjoy a good night’s rest and some personal space.

Need more ideas? Just give our team a call at the Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. We’re like an extension of Santa’s elf department – here to help spread holiday cheer!
