Kenosha Pops at Sesquicentennial Bandshell in Pennoyer Park

Enjoy live musical entertainment at Kenosha's lakefront. Join conductors Craig Gall and Frank Germinaro in the 96th season of the Kenosha Pops Concert Band.

The concert series takes place at Sesquicentennial Bandshell in Pennoyer Park.

Admission is free. Audience members should bring lawn chairs or blankets; benches are also provided at the bandshell.

2018 themes:

  • June 13: "Themes Like Old Times" with the band playing some old favorites to start the season.
  • June 20: "Romancing the Pops" – love themes. Guest vocalist: Lou Rugani.
  • June 27: "Of Captains and Kings" – songs with any type of royalty or military title in the title, from "Sgt. Pepper" to "The Lion King".
  • July 4: "From Sea to Shining Sea" patriotic favorites for the 7 p.m. pre-fireworks concert in Wolfenbuttel Park, 5901 Third Ave.
  • July 11: Garrett Kornman, the band's former assistant conductor, returns to the podium to direct his favorites in his farewell concert.
  • July 18: "Pops Ooh-La-La" – a French-themed program, including tunes from "Gigi", "An American in Paris", and several French marches. Guest vocalist: Melissa Cardamone.
  • July 25: "Pops Caliente" – a Latin-themed night.
  • Aug. 1: "Pops Ahoy" with nautical-themed songs.
  • Aug. 8: "Pops Reprises" – an evening of encores from this season.

Additional Appearances:

  • June 23: Special Saturday afternoon concert at 3:30 p.m. at the Civil War Museum's 10th anniversary celebration. Civil War Museum, 5400 First Avenue.
  • July 1: "Pops Afloat" in the Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade.
