Visit Kenosha is now accepting bids in response to a Request for Proposal seeking a graphic designer for its Official Kenosha Area Visitors Guide annual publication. Its current vendor has recently retired. Kenosha Tourism Corporation, doing business as Visit Kenosha, is a private, 501(c)6 not-for-profit corporation that has served as Kenosha’s official travel resource since 1986. The sole purpose of the organization is to promote the Kenosha Area as a travel destination, and thereby contribute positively to Kenosha County’s economy.

The Official Kenosha Area Visitors Guide has grown to a 100+ page, magazine-quality publication that both visitors and local residents utilize throughout the calendar year. The highly regarded publication features Visit Kenosha’s tourism partners, special events, and many other useful features.

Visit Kenosha is seeking a graphic designer with expertise in layouts to take on the 2024 guide formatting. This includes coordinating with Visit Kenosha staff on ad design and placement, editorial placement, and design, as well as some work on maps. The ideal candidate will have magazine or visitors guide production experience, have extreme attention to detail, be highly organized, and work well with brand standards.

The goals of this project include fulfilling all existing production tasks – including design, layout, proofing, and sending files to printer; providing fresh insight and updated processes to the project; and remaining on a very specific timeline for the print publication. Ad sales kick off in July, with the final publication files sent to the printer in November.
