The Kenosha County Fairgrounds is the home of Wilmot Raceway, the Kenosha County Fair, and various other events.
Wilmot Raceway brings you the best Dirt Track Racing in the Midwest. Racing takes place seasonally - primarily on Saturday nights. Events include the racing of IRA Sprints, wingLESS Sprints, Mini-Sprints, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Bandits, and more. This is a 3/8-mile clay, semi-banked oval.
Weekly events draw drivers from southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Wilmot is also a stop on national tours, which will draw cars from multiple states and across the country.
There is no charge for parking at Wilmot Raceway. Handicapped spaces are available near the Main Gate. Full concession stands are offered. Pit passes are available on the day of the race only. Those under 18 years must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver form. The majority of the races do not offer reserved seating. Races are held weather permitting.
It’s believed that a race track first opened in the same general area in the early 1950s. The current location opened in the early 1970s at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds.
