Kenosha Restaurant Week

Along with our Restaurant Week partners, the Kenosha Area CVB ( is proud to highlight two local non-profit organizations that provide food and other essential services to those in need in our community – The Shalom Center and The Sharing Center. As you dine out during Kenosha Restaurant Week, please take some time to learn more about these vital organizations and consider donating to support their many programs.

The Shalom Center provides emergency food, shelter, and support in ways that meet immediate needs and respect human dignity. It serves persons who are homeless and impoverished due to loss of employment, health problems, mental illness and other causes. It also serves Kenosha County residents who are experiencing hunger caused by a lack of sufficient income to buy needed food after paying rent and other living expenses.

The Sharing Center’s mission is to provide for basic needs and empower people in their transition to independence. The Center offers a number of programs serving Kenosha County residents, including an Emergency Food Pantry, Cupboard Bound, Senior Dining, and the Healthy Snack Program. These are essential services that provide nutritious food for low income families throughout our community and could not be possible without donations to meet the ever-growing demand.
