Southport Quilters Guild Annual Show at Kenosha Public Museum

Today it is snowing and all I want to do is snuggle up on my couch with a warm blanket. Since it's Monday and I have to work ... I will write a blog about warm blankets (that are also works of art), instead. Thanks to the help of our Photography Intern from Carthage College, Brittney DeMik, I have a collection of beautiful images featuring the quilts that are on display at the Kenosha Public Museum. These quilts were all created by members of the Soutport Quilters Guild and are hanging in Diamler-Chrysler Hall through March 22. The intricacy and detail in each quilt is just incredible. From traditional or playful, each quilt is unique. Here are just a few of the photos that Brittney got to give you a highlight of the show.

This Saturday is National Quilting Day, too. There will be demonstrations at the museum in conjunction with the quilt show, which makes this a great time to explore all the quilt creations before the exhibit ends next week. Stay warm!
