Kenosha Restaurant Week 2020 is just around the corner! February 1 – 9  will feature 42 spectacular restaurants offering amazing deals! Restaurants participating offer a variety of deals including $10 Breakfast/Brunch, $10 Lunch, $20 Dinner, and $30 Dinner price points – some of those even offer meals for two people!  It’s the perfect occasion for an affordable night out, food with a friend, or date night, or even an excuse to try some new places or restaurants that you haven’t been to for a while. There’s no shortage of new things to try during this week-plus of dining delights, as many restaurants prepare special menus with items not offered every day. With so many locally owned establishments to choose from, you’re sure to find a deal that will please your wallet and your taste buds.

Looking for some tips on how to enjoy Restaurant Week? Plan ahead – scope out the menus at VisitKenosha.com/RW and decide your plan of attack! With so many choices you’ll need to figure out your route. Also, be sure to download or pick up a Restaurant Week Passport and have it signed at each of your dining stops during Restaurant Week so you can enter for a chance to win dining gift cards or a Kenosha Prize Package. As for dining tips – everything is amazing, it’s going to be tough to choose. You’d have to eat out 4.6 times per day during Restaurant Week to cover all the venues.

A personal favorite of mine is Sandy’s Popper, which is offering a special discount when you show a receipt from a participating Restaurant Week establishment. Popcorn and Ice Cream are two of my favorite treats so having them both in one place is amazing. I can get my caramel ice cream and cheesy cheddar popcorn at the same time, not to mention the adorable decorations inside. It’s retro and cute with classic chairs and tables that make you feel like you’re in a movie. Even the outside tables are the perfect spot to sit and enjoy ice cream on a hot summer’s day.

Another one of my favorite places to eat is Waterfront Warehouse. They have a great menu with a variety of options from salads to burgers, so you’re sure to find something you like. A personal favorite of mine is the Tijuana Rolls. I could eat them all day! They’re cheesy with chicken, black beans, jalapenos, and Pico de Gallo - all wrapped into a crispy wonton. They aren’t too spicy and make for a delicious meal. If you’re so lucky as to visit on a day that they’re serving lasagna soup, I 100% recommend it- if you’re wondering what it tastes like just look at the name.

So, grab your stretchy pants and get ready for a culinary adventure. In celebration of Kenosha Restaurant Week, the Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is going to be talking about Kenosha eats on this blog for the next few weeks during our “Foodie February”. We’re so excited, we’re starting early – in January! You will surely be surprised by all the wonderful food options in our corner of southeastern Wisconsin. See you in Kenosha – bibs are optional!
