Hunting for Hot Chocolate

Finding warmth on a winter day can be tricky, but it can also be as close as a local cup of hot chocolate. Here are the best places to find some warmth while you are out and about in Kenosha this winter:

Harborside Common Grounds:

Best Features: Location and variety. The views of Lake Michigan are picturesque. Looking at the lake from the warmth of this cozy coffee house makes it even better on a cold day. There are a variety of flavors of hot chocolate ranging from basic, to raspberry parfait, to Mexican Spiced.

Buzz Cafe:

Best Features: Rich, creamy hot chocolate and a warm, cozy atmosphere. While the children will love it, this feels like a grown up hot chocolate. Wonderfully smooth and creamy, without being overly sweet. The inside of this coffee shop is warm and inviting: a great place to study, work, or have a meal with family.

Best features: Twist on hot chocolate. It’s easy to overlook an Ice Cream shop in winter. For those who prefer to add warmth in the winter months, Scoops offers a few choices including a regular and Hot Caramel Apple Cider and a hot chocolate. Perhaps the most fun winter treat is the “Melted snowman” hot chocolate which combines their specialty ice cream with a wintery hot chocolate.
