BUSINESS UPDATES related to Health and Public Safety

3/17/2020 - Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Staff

PAGE UPDATED: October 23, 2020

We're Ready When You Area. Whether you are ready to visit, dine out, shop in store, or if you still are looking for delivery, online ordering, and virtual experiences, the Kenosha Area has you covered. PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME BUSINESSES HAVE CHANGES TO HOURS AND OPERATIONS DUE TO HEALTH AND PUBLIC SAFETY. As the result of recent civil unrest, some businesses remain boarded up but are open. Review the details below for more information.

Kenosha, Wisconsin businesses are mostly re-opened. Many businesses are limited to 25% of occupancy due to need for physical distancing, so please be patient when shopping, dining, and visiting attractions. Make reservations when possible. Face coverings are required in Wisconsin. Gov. Tony Evers declared a new public health emergency in Wisconsin due to recent surge in cases among young people and issued a new face coverings order effective immediately. Executive Order #90 is available here. Emergency Order #1 is available here. Both orders are effective immediately and will expire after sixty days or with a subsequent superseding order. The governor previously declared a public health emergency under Executive Order #82, which remains in effect. All businesses are encouraged to follow best practices and guidelines, including those established by the Kenosha County Kickstart Plan and the CDC, to promote sanitation, physical distancing, and overall health safety. Please be patient as everyone is adjusting to new operations.

For updates regarding Public Safety, please visit the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department Website. If you need to reach First Responders for non-emergency situations you can contact the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department at 262-605-5100 or the Kenosha Police Department at 262-656-1234. For all emergency situations please call 9-1-1.

Below is a list of changes to services at Kenosha Area tourism businesses. We will keep this list as up to date as possible. It’s always best to contact a business directly for any restrictions they may have. We ask everyone to please adhere to social distancing and health guidelines and be respectful of others. Please consider supporting these locally owned and operated establishments as best you can. If you are unable to be out right now, purchasing gift certificates for use at a later date is a great way to help support small businesses. For updates about events in the area, please refer to our calendar of events. View the Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau's NEW Kenosha Area Activity Book here.
