As a young girl growing up at a Lake Mary resort in Kenosha County, I always knew that summer was coming when the jump ramp went out across the lake.  I watched in awe as the Aquanut team members practiced relentlessly on weekdays, perfecting their water ski and boat routines.  The Aquanut Water Ski Shows are still a tradition in Kenosha County today. It is really one of the joys of summer to see the dedication from the members to provide the best free water ski show in Southeastern Wisconsin.

If you are looking for a great family-friendly activity, this is definitely something to come and see. Each season has a theme to the acts. The 2019 theme is about getting stranded on a desert island with no way off, and those stranded realize they do not want to leave! I cannot wait to get on our boat to go watch the show from the water. If you don’t have a boat, there is plenty of bleacher seating at Lance Park. The stands and spectator area were remodeled in 2010 to accommodate viewers. Concessions are available and it really is a fun evening at the lake.

So, here’s the scoop:

Free water ski shows are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 6pm, Memorial Day through Labor Day. For a nominal fee, you can sign up to learn how to water ski, too. The group even hosts an Adaptive Waterskiing Program - With 20 years of experience and USSA certification, this water ski program helps individuals with all different abilities learn to water ski.

A little more about the Aquanuts:
Founded in 1973, the nationally recognized team has been delighting crowds for nearly 50 years. The team has produced several professional water ski athletes and is recognized nationally for its adaptive ski program. They are a non-profit organization and operate on donations from the audiences that they draw.

Find Lance Park:
Lance Park is located in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.  Twin Lakes is just south of Hwy 50 in Kenosha County and just north of the Richmond and Spring Grove Illinois communities. Parking is available onsite, free of charge. You can also anchor your boat in the water and watch from Lake Mary.

Learn more about the team on their website and plan a visit to see a great water ski show in Kenosha County this summer!
