2019-2020 Visit Kenosha Blog team

During last week's National Travel & Tourism Week festivities, the Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau announced the new members of our Community Blog Team. These individuals will begin writing for the Visit Kenosha blog in June and will contribute for the next 12 months. The new blog team will explore the Kenosha Area as “tourists in their own town” and share their adventures, tips, and hidden gems with local residents and travelers to the Kenosha Area. Blogs are typically posted twice per week at VisitKenosha.com.

Now, let us introduce you to the new class of bloggers:

Francesca Angel, Kenosha
She relocated to Kenosha in 1997 and has called it home ever since. She is loving life near the lake with her energetic sons and patient husband. She notes that she is a discount shopper, knowledge-seeker, food lover, and occasional crafter.

Brandi Baker, Kenosha
She is a Downtown Kenosha resident. Wife to Byron, mom to Blake. They love exploring restaurants, theatre and music venues, museums, and special events together in their hometown. 

Denise Bernacki, Kenosha
She is new-sih to Kenosha with just two years under her belt as a resident – she relocated from NW Indiana. She is continuously exploring Kenosha along with her husband and 4-year-old son.

Frederick Butzen, Kenosha
A recently retired software engineer and technical writer, essayist and amateur musician. He was a lifelong Chicagoan until he recently moved to Kenosha, and he is now enjoying life and culture north of the Cheddar Curtain.

Gale DeAngelis, Kenosha
She is a mother of two, grandma, and special needs educational assistant. Also a former special needs foster mom, part time potter, gardener and full-time dog lover! 

Autumn Rose DeCesaro, Pleasant Prairie
Recently returned to Kenosha after living in Racine for five years, she studied English Language Arts and Film at UW-Parkside. She is a video gamer, social media user, and has a "life of the party" personality. 

Beth Dugan, Kenosha
She is a Hospitality Educator and writer.  She's happily married and a mom of three adult children (and also mom to Jack the Dog).  She notes herself as a Bike Trail Explorer, Reader, and Needlepoint Fanatic. 

Sarah Freeborn, Kenosha
She's always Happy. A Lover of Color. A Home Chef. A Downtown Apartment Dweller. She is also a lifelong Kenoshan, plant lover, and iPhone Photographer. She's loving the single life in K-Town and enjoys spending time with her tight-knit family.

Elizabeth Garcia, Kenosha
A longtime Kenosha resident, UW Parkside alumna, and crazed Jeep enthusiast! She is an infamous museum goer, lover of the Lake, mother to one son and partner to a fabulous chef.

Amanda Jacobson, Kenosha
A Kenosha native, graphic designer, photographer, foodie, and DIY enthusiast. She is strongly drawn to rainbow color coordination and all things vintage. She notes that she loves to celebrate and loves to “Create”!

Megan Jankiewicz, Pleasant Prairie
This WIisconsin Transplant grew up south of the state line. She loves going on adventures with her husband and two young girls all over Kenosha County. Also loves to craft, read, and run with whatever free time she can find.

Autumn Jones, Kenosha
A Kenosha Native, Carthage grad, photographer, and future elementary school teacher - see is a lover of dogs, laughter, and good books. On sunny days, you can typically find her snapping photos and going on ice cream or coffee dates!

Lisa Pugh, Kenosha            
She's a Mom of two little girls, a nature lover, and a designer and photographer. As a Kenosha native, she loves her local traditions, as well as finding new and exciting things to do around town with her family.  

Jody Robison, Twin Lakes            
A marketing professional, Mom of three talented daughters, Koi pond and gardening expert. She is always seeking new adventures in Kenosha County.

Enrique Solis, Kenosha
Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, he moved to Kenosha in October 2018. He’s a carpenter by trade and enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to good stories, and big Sunday meals with his family. 

Hannah Wallisch, Kenosha
She loves finding local adventures with her husband and two kids (ages 4 & 1). She's a Higher Ed./nonprofit professional, amateur baker and gardener. Loves include the lakefront and a good book. 

This marks the fifth, and largest, class of Community Bloggers for the Visit Kenosha blog. We are excited to share their adventures and pro tips with all of you!
