No matter the season or reason, your visit to Kenosha will be full of delicious tastes and gorgeous scenery. We’ve eaten our way through Kenosha several times, so here are some of our foodie favorites. Seasonal surprises pop up all over town, at places like Kenosha HarborMarket and various special events throughout the year, so check those out too!

Something about traveling makes us want breakfast. One of our favorite spots for a full breakfast is The Coffee Pot. This cozy modern diner offers fresh seasonal ingredients and eggs benedict dishes to write home about. Hometown favorite Franks’ Diner serves classics and the famous Garbage Plates. Choo-Choo Charlie’s Shriner Diner at the Metra Station is a hoot, bringing your order on a model train that runs around the restaurant. For a lighter start, grab a mighty cup of java and a nibble at The Daily Dose Café before you see the sights.

You’ll build a little appetite while out on the town and lunchtime provides many great options. Boat House Pub & Eatery has scrumptious harborside eats, and if you happen to catch your own fish while out on Lake Michigan the culinary team at this restaurant will cook it for you. Wisconsin bratwursts are legendary and there’s nowhere better for the real deal than the world famous Brat Stop. Wanna keep a move on? Grab a picnic lunch at the Buzz Café or Italian specialties at Tenuta’s Delicatessen. Watch the harbor happenings, stroll the Sculpture Walk or unwind in a scenic park while you eat. Mars Cheese Castle is a must see. Yes, there really is a cheese castle, it’s in Kenosha, and it makes cheese lovers squeal with delight.

We love having different choices for dinner and Kenosha has plenty. One of our favorites is House of Gerhard, serving authentic German and American fare. Make sure you’re hungry when you dine at this restaurant because they will feed you well. The Schweinhaxe (pork shank) and Prime Rib of Beef are famous for a reason. Elevate your dining experience with a swanky evening at the HobNob Supper Club where you can sip an Old Fashioned by the water. Or wind down in style at The Stella Hotel & Ballroom’s luscious 1844 Table & Mash Restaurant or the new rooftop bar, The Crow’s Nest. Twisted Cuisine offers delectable creative dishes combining fresh and unique ingredients, while Sazzy B’s globally-inspired menu pairs beautifully with its mellow vibe. For a lively scene, Captain Mike’s Beer & Burger Bar has Kobe and grass-fed beef, 200 beers, 100 whiskeys and create-your-own mac & cheese. How fun is that?

Kenosha’s dining scene is fully-loaded and we’ve only scratched the surface here. You’ll find local, seasonal and diverse dining choices everywhere. Savor the flavors of Kenosha and enjoy your own food lover’s adventure.
