Join us for an expanded two-day event that showcases the celebrations and flavors of the holiday season across cultures. Enjoy a special edition of Kenosha HarborMarket in two outdoor heated tents on pavement east of the museums, the Kenosha Public Museum's annual International Holiday Faire, The Civil War Museum's Victorian Christmas celebration, and family activities provided by the Kenosha Public Library, free rides with storytellers aboard the electric streetcars, art activities, and much more.

This is a combination of indoor and outdoor events offering fun and food for the entire family, plus holiday shopping!

This is the fourth annual event.

 

Indoor Schedule:

Victorian Christmas at the Civil War Museum, 5400 First Ave.

Saturday:

  • Free Admission to the Fiery Trial gallery
  • Soldier and civilian living history presentations
  • Clay ornament making
  • Games and Crafts
  • Storytelling
  • The Friends of the Museum will also have a booth, selling Popcorn and soda
  • Schedule of presentations:
    • 11am: Holiday Favorites by Ed Pierce and the Palmyra Eagle Band
    • 12pm: Holiday reception with President Abraham Lincoln
    • 2pm: Storytelling with Laura Marsh: The Night Before Christmas and The Christmas Tree Ship
    • 3pm: The Christmas Tree Ship presentation by maritime Archaeologist Tamara Thomsen

Sunday:

  • 1:30pm: A Christmas Carol live radio show presented by RG Productions, an Old Time Radio Theatre group showcasing re-creations from the Golden Age of Radio as well as new audio theatre in live venues.

Victorian Christmas will also include a 19th Century women's clothing and accessories display.

International Holiday Faire at the Kenosha Public Museum, 5500 First Ave.

Be sure to visit the Hot Cocoa Bars! There will be two to choose from – one located in the lobby of the Kenosha Public Museum and one near the main stage outdoors. Hot Chocolate will be available for purchase both days of the event with a variety of candies to add on top to create your own cup of holiday magic. The Hot Cocoa Bar is Sponsored by Lou Perrine’s Gas & Grocery and Mama P’s HoHo Cake! HoHo Cakes will also be available for purchase in the lobby at the Kenosha Public Museum – they pair perfectly with Hot Cocoa and come highly recommended by Santa himself!
