Lake MichiganAttractions

Kenosha is a Midwest road trip … to a Wisconsin Harbor Town. We’re located fewer than 60 miles from Chicago and less than 40 miles from Milwaukee.

Activities on or near Lake Michigan include riding authentic Electric Streetcars along the lakefront, taking photos of two lighthouses (one you can climb), lounging at one of five beaches, and taking a charter fishing excursion. Or rent a duck-themed pedal boat, kayak, or stand up paddle board for fun in the harbor!

There are five museums to visit - including one about the Civil War (yes, in Wisconsin), one featuring local mammoths that have re-written the science books, one that celebrates Kenosha’s auto manufacturing history, one filled with dinos, and a seasonal maritime one.

Local shops, restaurants, rooftop bars, art galleries, public art, and more fill the charming Downtown district that’s next to Lake Michigan.

Further from the lakefront, enjoy the immersive Bristol Renaissance Faire, bicycle races at the oldest operating velodrome in the country, an outdoor aerial adventure park with axe throwing, and downhill skiing, snowboarding, and tubing at Wilmot Mountain.

We have more than 130 miles of bike trails to travel down, numerous free outdoor concerts to relax at, and popular food & beverage events, music festivals, and car shows to put on your calendar. View our Visit Kenosha Events Calendar HERE>
