Chicago’s award-winning Tall Ship Red Witch will dock in Kenosha, Wisconsin’s harbor May 14 through June 5, 2016, offering public sailing excursions and private charters on Lake Michigan.
The Border War 5K Run/Walk is a friendly battle before the Border War Beer Fest to see which state has the best average 5K time for runners and walkers. The run/walk will start and finish at Celebration Place along Kenosha’s Lake Michigan shore.
8 – 9 p.m.
Ever wonder what’s making all that noise in the pond? Come learn about Wisconsin’s frogs and toads and how to identify them by voice. Then we’ll hike to the pond to listen for a frog chorus.
9:30 – 11 a.m.
Drop in between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. to help the earth and your plants! Make uniquely useful plant stakes using natural and recycled items. Appropriate for all ages.
10 – 11 a.m.
Kids ages three and up, bring an adult to join in this fun nature program! Learn how you can earn a colorful patch. Meet at the Amphitheater.
7 – 9 a.m.
Experience the amazement of migration. Bring your binoculars and we’ll look and listen for newly-arrived birds, especially warblers.
4 – 5 p.m.
Bring your adult (or other) coloring books and supplies or use ours as you join us to celebrate spring and to unwind and relax. Bring a picnic to add to the enjoyment!
