Light Up the Library! It is your time to shine at a de“light”ful glow-in-the-dark storytime!
Let’s See: Your Sense of Sight. Bring your senses to the library and see, touch, hear, taste, and smell.
10 – 11 a.m.
Come to a fun family chemistry show to watch exciting chemical reactions and get involved in some experiments! This is a free event; recommended for ages five and older.
This is the fourth annual event; organizers intend to pack the Lake Michigan shoreline again this year with 2,000 families participating or watching the action.
Sat. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sun. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Rebels and Redcoats will fight an epic battle to determine if Fox River Park will remain in Kenosha County or will become part of the British Empire.
12 - 4 p.m.
Family-friendly reenactors in character as Civil War soldiers will be at the museum. Ask them about their gear, Civil War battles and what it took to be a Civil War soldier.
1 - 2 p.m.
Kenosha-based Puppet Underground presents a hilarious family puppet show, appropriate for all ages, based on the collection and themes of the Kenosha Public Museum. This is a free event.
11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Most everyone in America loves a good grilled cheese sandwich, and if you live in Wisconsin, many would say it’s mandatory. And some would say if you’re going to stage a grilled cheese/mac and cheese invitational, what better locale than a city on Lake Michigan in America’s Dairyland?
All are invited to kick back, relax, and enjoy a free family-friendly movie, courtesy of Happenings Magazine and The Friends of Lincoln Park. The movies are:

Thar be food, drinks and fun for yar whole family! Thar be hot dogs, popcorn, soda and more for the little mateys; rum, beer, and a roast pig for the bigg-argh mateys. Activities will include a pirate bounce house, face painting and other kids' games!
