Kelly Deem, the owner of Elsie Mae's Bakery & Cannery, has opened a second business in the adjacent storefront: Myrtle Mae's Sugar Emporium. Myrtle Mae's features: Dark Matter Coffee (Chicago-based), Purple Door Ice Cream (Milwaukee-based), Sassy Cow Creamery Products (Columbus, Wisconsin-based), and Barry Callebaut Chocolate. The menu includes: Specialty Chocolates and Candies, Ice Cream, Build Your Own Cookie Dough Bar, Pie Ala Mode, and more. The signature items include: Sounds Delicious – an ice cream and pie sandwich; Pie Shakes – as seen at Kenosha HarborMarket, featuring ice cream and homemade pie; M4 – Myrtle Mae's Maple Mixer coffee beverage with maple syrup and vanilla bean cream; and specialty root beer floats. Both Elsie Mae's and Myrtle Mae's are named after Kelly Deem’s grandmothers. Myrtle Mae's is open seven days a week, May through October, with more limited hours in the fall and winter months.
