All in the Family - Activities for Kids

Scoop up the kids and head to the Kenosha Area for a fun-filled, family-friendly overnight getaway!


Jelly Belly Visitor Center - The free Jelly Belly Express train tour takes approximately 35 minutes, and each passenger receives a free sample of Jelly Belly beans at its conclusion.

Electric Streetcar - Take a scenic ride (approximately 15 minutes) along Lake Michigan and through Downtown Kenosha on an authentic Electric Streetcar. The streetcar stops at three museums: Kenosha Public Museum, Dinosaur Discovery Museum, and the Civil War Museum. 

Kenosha Public Museum - See the mammoths that were un-earthed in Kenosha County and plan to spend some time at the Field Station, where hands-on activities allow all ages to explore the arts and sciences. General admission is free.

Dinosaur Discovery Museum - Be sure to visit the lower level of the museum for children’s craft activities! Participate in free Dino Digs most Saturday and Sunday afternoons!

RecPlex - Swim or skate your way to fun at the largest municipal recreation facility in the nation. An indoor waterpark, ice arena, athletic fieldhouse, state-of-the-art fitness center, and more await you. 

Alpaca Art Pottery Painting - Walk in anytime during open hours, choose from the wide selection of bisque - plates, bowls, banks, boxes, figurines. Sit, relax and paint!

Kenosha YMCA - Rock climbing, swimming, playing basketball, and more are offered here!


Kenosha Kingfish Baseball - You never know what family entertainment you'll see at an inning break - a Dancing Grounds Crew, Toilet Seat Races, Human Bowling, a Human Cannonball. It's all possible. Little ones can enjoy the Kid Zone.

Wilmot Mountain - Skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing fun for the whole family! Ask about Winter Wonderland - a ski-play area for children ages 4 to 9 years old.
