2017 marks the 25th presentation of the Parkside National Small Print Exhibition and thirty years since the first show opened at UW-Parkside. This year's exhibition features 96 original prints from artists hailing from thirty-one different states. David Jones, founder of Anchor Graphics, Chicago and the Center for Collaborative Research, Kenosha, served as the juror. His selections showcase the great breadth of contemporary printmaking practice, with artists exploring both traditional techniques as well as new digital applications.

Join us for a public reception, announcement of purchase awards and juror's remarks on Thursday, February 23rd from 5 - 7 p.m.

ACE is UW-Parkside's art club, and stands for Artisan Craftsman Establishment. ACE is dedicated to the promotion of art at UW-Parkside and in the community, as well as assisting students in preparation for continued education.

Admission is free to this art gallery located inside an historic French Tudor mansion on the Lake Michigan shore. This exhibition features:

Carthage College Art Exhibit: Annual Juried Art Show

The annual juried art show is open to all Carthage students and juried by a guest artist. Awards include: best of drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and design.

All exhibitions are free and open to the public. They are held at the H. F. Johnson Gallery of Art. The gallery is located above the Johnson Art Center, south of the Hedberg Library and A. F. Siebert Chapel on campus.

The exhibit features Kenosha-specific automobiles (Jeffery, Nash, AMC) from the 1900’s until the 1970’s. Specifically:

  • 1940 Nash Opera Coupe
  • 1959 AMC Rambler Ambassador Custom Country Club

There's also a collection of 1930’s wagons and scooters on display to represent that decade.

The Art of Tea

This program will provide a brief look at the history, culture, and art that have all come together in making the perfect steaming cup of tea.

We will discuss the difference and benefits of different varieties, and learn how to transform a simple cup of tea into a meditative experience. Presented by Laura E. Cox of Acupuncture & Wellness of Wisconsin. This is for adults.
