Check out Chess at the Library! Everyone is welcome: beginners and experts, seniors and youngsters (kids under 9 must be accompanied by an adult). Bring your own chess set or use one of ours. This is free.
Enjoy family-friendly entertainment, including Cuddles the Clown.
Make creepy creations and blow them up or devour them. For Grades 6-12. This is free.
All ghouls and goblins 12 and under are invited to trick-or-treat at participating stores, while supplies last. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Come make some “spooky” crafts. For Families (Ages 3+). This is free.
braiiiiinsss! It’s a murder mystery, zombified! Costumes welcome (because they’re awesome). For Grades 6-12. This is free.
Students ages 8-18 of Spotlight Youth Theater present Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. Based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie’s enchanting play, Disney’s Peter Pan Jr., is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn’t grow up and the Darling children that he whisks away to Never Land.
Carthage hosts Family Fun Nights for the community on most Friday evenings during the school year. Families can enjoy fun and educational activities in Hedberg Library, browse the collection in the Center for Children’s Literature, use the library computers, or swim and play basketball in the N. E. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center.
