Carthage College Family Fun Night

2015 dates: March 13, April 10, April 17, May 1, May 8

Carthage hosts Family Fun Nights for the community on most Friday evenings during the school year. Families can enjoy fun and educational activities in Hedberg Library, browse the collection in the Center for Children’s Literature, use the library computers, or swim and play basketball in the N. E. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center.

Bark For Life

The American Cancer Society and Kenosha Kingfish invite the Kenosha community to participate in Bark For Life, a noncompetitive walk for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness in the fight against cancer.

RecPlex Family 5K Walk/Run

Join us for our spring 5K race along the shores of Lake Andrea. Registration cost includes a goodie bag along with an event t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Registration is open to men, women and children of all ages.

Durkee Mansion - Historical Mansion Tours

The Durkee Mansion, one of Kenosha’s unique historical landmarks, is a cream brick Italianate, Victorian style home located among the Kemper Center properties on the lakefront. The public is invited to tour the home through October, when it will then close to prepare for the holiday season.

Southport Light Station Museum Open for the Season

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, May 9, 2015 - October 25, 2015

The lighthouse and maritime museum, inside the keeper's house, documents Kenosha's lighthouse keepers, shipping and fishing history. Also climb the 1866 Southport Lighthouse. The tower stands 55 feet above the lighthouse grounds. See Kenosha, Lake Michigan and into Illinois and Racine County.
