Welcome to Pollard Gifts & Gallery, located at historic Rhode Center for the Arts in Downtown Kenosha.
The Pollards: Internationally renowned portrait artist George Pollard and his wife Nan Pollard, a recognized illustrator of children’s books, called Kenosha home for more than 50 years. George painted six presidents, one of the popes and numerous celebrities and sports figures. Nan illustrated more than 2,000 children’s books including Curious George, Peter Pan and the Three Pigs. Lakeside Players has honored them with the gallery in their name. Rhode Center for the Arts is also home to the Lakeside Players community theater group.
In addition to the work of the Pollards, the gallery is home to award winning local artists who exhibit their art in a number of mediums, from fine art to functional art. The displays are always changing. Bi-monthly, there are guest artist displays, art shows and contests, photography and digital art shows. Browsers are always welcome!
